Sky journalist: Arsenal reach total agreement for attacker, paperwork being finalised
Arsenal have ‘total agreement’ in their deal for Man United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to a Sky Sports journalist.
Fabrizio Romano, a Sky Sports Italian reporter, claimed that the deal was as good as done, with clubs moving on to the paperwork.
It had looked like the deal was close, with both Alexis Sanchez and Mkhitaryan left out of their respective squads for the games on Saturday.
Football Insider verdict:
Great news for Arsenal fans ahead of their 3pm kick-off against Crystal Palace with the news that the Mkhitaryan deal is imminent and all but done. That’s one of the top targets in the bag for Wenger and it definitely softens the blow of Sanchez leaving. With news that Arsenal have bid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang too, and the clubs not being a million miles apart, this could be turning into the best transfer window for Arsenal fans in a long time.
In other Arsenal transfer news, Wenger has confirmed that it will be two way traffic concerning the transfer of Alexis Sanchez.
