Sky Sports pundit predicts Newcastle v Bristol City, 19-year-old a big loss
By Will Butcher
David Prutton believes Newcastle will secure a comfortable win over struggling Bristol City at St. James’ Park on Saturday.
The Toon play host to Lee Johnson’s side, as they look to stretch their lead at the top of the Championship with all three points against the Robins.
Prutton claimed on Sky Sports‘ website that Rafa Benitez’s side would win 2-0 win against City, with the injury to 19-year-old Robins striker Tammy Abraham set to have a huge impact on the outcome of the match.
“I’ve seen several teams go to St James’ and cause problems. If Bristol City set themselves up correctly, they will be able to frustrate the league leaders,” Prutton said.
“We have seen banana skins this season – Blackburn went up there and got a result – but I don’t feel Bristol City will follow suit. Tammy Abraham is such a big miss for them.”
The Toon will be looking to build on their impressive 2-0 win over Midland outfit Aston Villa on Monday night, which saw Yoann Gouffran and a Henri Lansbury own goal secure victory.
Winning three out of their last four outings, Newcastle are firm favourites to secure all three points against Bristol City, who are way down the Championship table in 21st place.
A win for Benitez and the rest of his high-flying side could see them go four points clear at the Champonship summit, if Brighton lose to playoff contenders Reading.
