No one typifies the Arsenal Invincibles season of grit and determination more than Vieira. In fact Vieira is unlucky not to make it to the top of this list – and would have but for an bona fide legend. He was bought from AC Milan for £5million in 1996 and sold to Juventus ten years later for £18million, when he’d given his best to Arsenal and Wenger. A proper Arsenal player and fans still bemoan the fact that they never really replaced him all these years later.
