Arrived at the Hoops with a point to prove after a stagnant few years at Aston Villa, and the £3.5million has certainly done that in his time at the club.
The Englishman’s first season with the Hoops was a dream, as he was deservedly named Scottish player of the year after scoring 25 goals in 50 matches as he terrorised teams with his pace and trickery.
This season the 29-year-old may have failed to hit the heights he set last season, but he is still the Hoops’ top scorer with 17 goals and if he can recapture his form he will be a huge player for the rest of the season.
