Chelsea are submitting a £130million bid for Erling Haaland after the green light from Roman Abramovich, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The Champions League holders have discussed multiple player-plus-cash options with Borussia Dortmund as they continue plans to lure the 21-year-old.

A Chelsea source has told Football Insider that the club have now lined up a straight cash offer of £130m for Haaland.

Chelsea

That is believed to be the highest Abramovich is willing to go for what would be a British-record deal.

The mega-rich owner has vowed to bankroll a mega-money centre-forward move as he looks to build on last season’s Champions League triumph.

The club are working on deals for Haaland, Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku.

They hope to get at least one over the finish line.

However, Chelsea are set to return with a cash-only deal in a bid to tempt Dortmund into selling.

Haaland, who turned 21 on Wednesday (July 21st), was in electric form for the German outfit last season.

He netted 41 goals in 41 games across all competitions, including 10 in eight Champions League appearances.

Chelsea's desire for a prolific goalscorer comes just a year after they signed Werner for a reported £45million last summer.

He scored 12 times in 52 appearances, although only six of his goals came in the Premier League.

The Belgium international only played 15 times and failed to score during his first spell at Stamford Bridge.
