Sources: Juventus plotting to sign West Ham star Gianluca Scamacca

Juventus are plotting to sign West Ham star Gianluca Scamacca this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Scamacca is unlikely to stay at the London Stadium if the Hammers are relegated and is wanted by a number of clubs in Italy.

Juventus are actively monitoring the 24-year-old and a move is increasingly likely despite his recent arrival.

But the Serie A giants have been investigated for their financial practices over the last few years and any repercussions could have an impact on their ability to make new signings in the summer.

The club could also be set to lose Dusan Vlahovic in the summer as a result of the financial uncertainty, with Chelsea eyeing up a move for the striker.

The Italian joined the Irons last summer from Sassuolo on a five-year-deal worth a reported £35.5million that also includes the option of a further 12 months.

Scamacca is believed to be on £90,000-per-week at West Ham but will look to leave the club in the event that they are demoted to the Championship next season.

The forward has made 27 appearances for David Moyes’ side across all competitions this season and has netted eight goals in those outings.

The Hammers could also lose another member of their front line if they are relegated at the end of the season.

West Ham

On Thursday (23 March), Football Insider revealed that Jarrod Bowen is likely to leave the club if they don’t survive this season.

The Hammers are currently 18th in the league, just one point clear of bottom-place Southampton but only one point behind Leicester City just outside the drop zone.
