Sources: Leeds United line up flurry of big-money summer deals

Leeds United are set to offer multiple first-team stars big-money new contracts if they are promoted back to the Premier League, sources have told Football Insider.

Some Whites players had relegation wage clauses in their deals last term when they dropped to the Championship, while those who didn’t agreed loan moves elsewhere.

It is expected that the Leeds board will sit down with several key men to discuss extensions if promotion is secured – even with automatic wage increases set to be triggered.

Leeds moved back into second place on Tuesday (13 February) after winning 4-0 away at Swansea City.

Third-place Southampton sit two points behind the Yorkshire giants but have a game in hand on their promotion rivals.

Key men Patrick Bamford, Illan Meslier, Crysencio Summerville and Dan James are all out of contract at Elland Road in June 2026.

Summerville has been the standout player for Leeds in the 2023-24 campaign, notching 16 goals and nine assists across all competitions.

Football Insider revealed in January that Aston Villa and Brighton are both admirers of the 22-year-old winger.

Meanwhile, Joe Rodon is likely to be approached over a permanent Leeds move in the event of promotion following an impressive loan spell.

Football Insider revealed on 9 February that Tottenham are looking for between £10-15million to sell Rodon this summer.

Sources have also told Football Insider (15 February) that Daniel Farke is set for talks over a new deal if promotion is achieved, despite him having three years left to run on his current contract.
