Sources: Liverpool top Premier League charts as uncovered documents reveal £113m payout

Liverpool earned more money through shirt sales and merchandise than any other Premier League club last season, Football Insider can reveal.

As per new official Uefa documents, the Reds earned £113million from shirt and merchandise sales in the 2022-23 season.

They rank fourth in the world behind Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona – the Spanish giants topped the charts with earnings of £153million.

Manchester United trail behind Liverpool in fifth with a £111million payout while Arsenal were the next Premier League club in seventh place after banking £76million.

Liverpool’s merchandise is sold through Nike after both parties struck a kit manufacturer deal in 2020.

Liverpool earn £113m payout to topple Man United

The US sports brand currently pays Liverpool a flat fee of £30million per year but the Reds earn 20 percent of all proceeds from branded merchandise.

Liverpool’s Nike deal is unique in the Premier League with the average commission earned by other top-flight clubs just four percent.

As revealed by Football Insider, Liverpool are in advanced talks with Nike to extend their kit manufacturer agreement.

It is understood that Liverpool’s current deal with Nike is set to run until 2025, but both parties are eager to continue their partnership.

The renewed terms of the deal are set to rival the record-breaking £90million-per-year deal struck between Manchester United and Adidas in 2023.
