Sources: Millwall make deadline-day offer to Middlesbrough for Uche Ikpeazu
Millwall are readying a deadline-day offer to Middlesbrough for striker Uche Ikpeazu, Football Insider understands.
Boro boss Chris Wilder revealed earlier this month the club were willing to let Ikpeazu leave following the arrivals of Aaron Connelly and Folarin Balogun from Brighton and Arsenal respectively.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Millwall are hoping to land Ikpeazu after losing out to Cardiff City for Jordan Hugill.

But they face competition for his signature from multiple other EFL clubs.
Ikpeazu, 26, is out of favour at the Riverside and has not made the matchday squad for Boro’s last three Championship games.
In his last seven outings, all off the bench, he has been handed 46 minutes of action.
However, he did find the net in this month’s 3-2 FA Cup win over Mansfield Town, his first goal for Boro since 18 August.
Ikpeazu hit the ground running with two goals and an assist in his first three Championship games for Middlesbrough.
However, he has failed to find the net in the league since, with Wilder now happy to let him leave today.
Ikpeazu’s most prolific spell was for Cambridge United during the 2017-18 season where he scored 14 goals in 44 games across all competitions.
The striker’s contract at the Riverside expires in June 2024.
Boro moved into the play-off places following their 1-0 win over Coventry on Saturday (29 January).
Millwall sit nine points and nine places behind Middlesbrough and are well clear of the relegation zone.
