Sources: Newcastle player with seven league appearances this season could agree January loan with obligation
William Osula has mostly sat on Newcastle’s bench after more forward recruitments in the summer prevented him from a breakout season.
The signing of Yoane Wissa from Brentford on transfer deadline day was meant to see Osula leave Newcastle over the summer.
Sources told Football Insider that Newcastle were keen on loaning Osula to Eintracht Frankfurt, yet the deal fell through at the last moment.
Despite seven Premier League appearances this season, the Dane is seriously considering his next steps ahead of a crucial January transfer window.

Eintracht Frankfurt keen to re-open William Osula talks over potential loan
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the German outfit would certainly entertain another shot at bringing the 22-year-old to the club.
Sources told Football Insider that Newcastle were still looking to sell Osula during the summer despite the deal collapsing with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over the Bundesliga side’s renewed hope in signing the Dane, I explained: “There’s a possibility that that move could be resurrected with Eintracht Frankfurt.

“As you said, they was very close to happening on deadline day. Eintracht Frankfurt thought they had the deal done for Newcastle, who pulled the plug very late on on deadline day, which was very frustrating for the German club.
“But yeah, their interest still remain in Osula, probably a loan deal with either an option or obligation to sign on a permanent deal.”
Nick Woltemade’s brilliance to give further reason for Osula to leave in January
Premier League legend Alan Shearer has raved about Nick Woltemade since he signed for Newcastle with the striker tearing up the English top-flight.

The German has three goals in four appearances in the league and has adapted superbly to the demands of the Toon faithful.
The 23-year-old’s sensational displays indicate that Osula will struggle to force his way into Eddie Howe’s thinking anytime soon and a move away from the club in January would be the best thing for both parties.
Moreover, with Wissa expected to make a return from injury soon, the young striker will be further pushed down the pecking order at St James’ Park.
