Sources: Newcastle United have already agreed big-money summer signing – it will have major FFP impact
Lewis Hall will complete a permanent move to Newcastle United in the summer but it will impact the club’s summer spending, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking to the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast, transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the 19-year-old will move from Chelsea despite his lack of appearances this season.
Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that this will have a significant impact on the Magpies’ summer plans as it will take a huge portion of their budget.
Hall joined his boyhood club on loan with an obligation to buy this summer for a reported permanent fee of £28million, with a potential of £7million in add-ons.
Hall has made 11 appearances in all competitions this season and has racked up just 268 minutes.
Newcastle are very conscious of their Financial Fair Play obligations and may be forced to sell a number of key stars in the summer to facilitate Hall’s move and bring in new players.
As revealed by Football Insider (25 January), Eddie Howe’s side could cash in on Bruno Guimaraes’ £100million release clause in the summer window amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Club CEO Darren Eales also admitted earlier this month that valuable first-team players may have to be sold due to FFP concerns.
The expected sale of Miguel Almiron could help their financial situation this month, with Football Insider revealing (24 January) that they are locked in advanced talks with Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab about a fee for the forward.

Newcastle sit 10th in the Premier League table after suffering four consecutive defeats, most recently to Man City on Saturday 13 January.
They are next in action against Fulham on Saturday evening (27 January) in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
