Sources: Norwich City plot raid for Sheffield Wednesday contract rebel Reach
Norwich City are interested in signing Sheffield Wednesday wide man Adam Reach, Football Insider Understands.
The versatile left-footer, 28, is out of contract at the Yorkshire giants next month and available on a summer free.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider Norwich are working to reshape their squad as they prepare for the Premier League and have their sights set on Reach.
The attacker will not sign a new contract at Hillsborough after the club suffered relegation to League One.
Reach made 44 Championship appearances for the Owls last season scoring five goals and registering three assists.
One of those assists was against Norwich back in December though Reach’s side ultimately lost 2-1.
His contribution was not enough to keep Wednesday in the second tier as they were relegated on the final day.
Reach joined Sheffield Wednesday from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2016.
During his time in the North East, he had loan spells at Darlington, Shrewsbury and Bradford.
He spent his final season at Middlesbrough on loan with Preston before Wednesday signed him that summer.
He went on to make 230 appearances for the club, scoring 24 goals and picking up 34 assists.
Norwich return to the Premier League as Champions and at the first time of asking after suffering relegation last season.
Watford also won automatic promotion with Bournemouth, Brentford, Barnsley and Swansea all fighting for the last promotion spot.
In other news, Norwich City are tracking a Premier League forward ahead of their return to the top flight.
