Sources: Rotherham United in talks to sign West Ham star Conor Coventry
Rotherham United are in talks to sign West Ham midfielder Conor Coventry, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old has been given the green light to depart the London Stadium this month after failing to make his way into David Moyes’ first-team plans.
Rotherham are negotiating a deal to take Coventry on loan for the remainder of the season.

The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international is out of contract at the end of the season.
Football Insider revealed in November that West Ham would let Coventry go this month on a permanent deal or a loan.
Coventry has made seven appearances with the first team this season but would leave West Ham having only played one minute of Premier League football if he departs this month.
Moyes brought Coventry off the bench in the final minute of their season-opener against Man City in August.
Out of his four senior starts this season, three came in the Europa Conference League as Coventry helped the Hammers top their group with a 100 per cent record.
A move to Rotherham would mark Coventry’s fourth loan spell of his career after his previous temporary stints at Lincoln City, Peterborough United and MK Dons.

After spending his entire youth career with the Hammers and breaking through to the first team, Coventry was sent to Lincoln for the second half of the 2019/20 season – he made a total of seven appearances before returning to east London.
He then joined Championship outfit Peterborough in the 2021/22 season and made 12 league appearances before being recalled in January and sent instead to League One side MK Dons.
