Sources: West Ham open talks to sign two strikers after devastating Lucas Paqueta update
West Ham are stepping up their pursuit of two top striker targets after injuries to Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio in recent weeks, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez and Stuttgart hitman Serhou Guirassy are firmly on the radar for the Irons having been long-term targets at the London Stadium.
West Ham are very interested in signing one of the red-hot duo – who have been prolific this season in the Eredivisie and Bundesliga – and talks are taking place over potential deals.

Sources say David Moyes and his recruitment staff are now stepping up their plans to land a new forward this month.
Mohammed Kudus, who is West Ham’s second-highest scorer this term with 10 goals in all competitions, is currently away at the African Cup of Nations.
Meanwhile – Bowen, Antonio and Paqueta have all suffered injuries in recent weeks and are set to be missing from the side for differing lengths of time.
The likelihood is that Paqueta will be sidelined for two months with a calf injury in what is an especially devastating blow for West Ham.
Gianluca Scamacca was allowed to leave the club last summer without a replacement, meaning Moyes is now down to the barebones in attack.
Gimenez has scored 20 goals in 22 games across all competitions this term and is a top target for West Ham.
The 22-year-old is under contract with Eredivisie champions Feyenoord until June 2027.

Meanwhile, Guirassy has hit 19 goals in 16 games for Stuttgart this term and is available this month via a £15million release clause.
Like Kudus, he is currently away on international duty with Guinea at the African Cup of Nations.
