Tottenham expected 4-2-3-1 v Burnley: Powerhouse in, £15m ace out in three changes
Son Heung-min (Attacking midfield) – The South Korean has been in the form of his life for Spurs this season, and while he did not have his best game against City, not many Spurs players came out of that performance unscathed. He is expected to retain his place against the Clarets.
Christian Eriksen (Attacking midfield) – Eriksen managed some damage limitation against City with a really well-taken goal for Spurs in the dying moments of the match. The Dane has disappointed on the whole this season, but it does not look like Pochettino is willing to drop him.
Dele Alli (Attacking midfield) – Alli put in another seriously off-colour performance against City, giving the ball away too many times and looking completely out of sync with his teammates. However, Pochettino has insisted that Alli must still play for Spurs, and thinks that the 21-year-old will find his form soon. Erik Lamela can count himself unlucky to not replace Alli in this starting XI.
Harry Kane (Striker) – Kane has not really put a foot wrong for Spurs and yet does not truly look at his best this season. He is towards the top of the PL scoring table, but has been inconsistent in finding the back of the net this campaign. Kane was lucky to not see red against City after a nasty challenge on Raheem Sterling, and will be looking to get back on the scoresheet on Saturday.
