Stan Collymore delivers no-holds-barred verdict on Liverpool after defeat against Hull

Stan Collymore believes Liverpool are “unravelling in front of our eyes” following their 2-0 defeat against Hull on Saturday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp side dropped valuable points in the Premier League title race as they are now 13 points behind league leaders Chelsea.

Alfred N’Diaye opened the scoring just before half-time after a mistake from goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

The relegation battlers then secured all three points with six minutes left on the clock when on-loan Everton striker Omar Niasse sealed the win.

Despite picking up a point against Chelsea in midweek, the Reds were unable to build on their positive performance against Antonio Conte’s side.

The display against Hull didn’t go down too well with former Premier League striker Collymore who delivered a no-holds-barred verdict on the loss as posted on his personal Twitter account.

“Liverpool unravelling in front of our eyes,” said Collymore.

As a result of that damaging defeat for Liverpool, they are in fourth place on 46 points from their 24 games.

They can be overtaken by fifth-placed Manchester City on Sunday afternoon as Pep Guardiola’s side host Paul Clements Swansea.

Furthermore, their north-west rivals Manchester United, who are currently in fifth, can move to within one point of them if they beat Leicester.

Klopp’s side will be looking to bounce back from this damaging defeat when they host fellow title chasers Tottenham next Saturday at Anfield.
