By Amir Mir
Stan Collymore has backed Tottenham to beat Stoke 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at White Hart Lane.
Former Liverpool striker Collymore thinks Spurs will bounce back from their recent defeat and secure a much-needed three points.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side were knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday night and are set to play their third match in a week.
Las Sunday, they beat Championship outfit Fulham 3-0 to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup where they will take on Millwall.
Ahead of the Premier League game, former Villa and Nottingham Forest man Collymore stated his prediction for Spurs’ clash with Stoke as posted on his personal Twitter account.
A number of Spurs’ top four challengers will be absent from Premier League action at the weekend due to the EFL Cup final on Sunday.
Sixth-placed Manchester United, who are two points behind Spurs, take on Southampton at Wembley.
As a result, the club’s north London rivals Arsenal will not be in action as they are one place below their neighbours in the table.
The last time Mark Hughes’ side played Pochettino’s team, the Staffordshire club suffered a 4-0 defeat in front of their own supporters.
Now, they will be looking to gain some revenge as former White Hart Lane striker Peter Crouch could start up front for the away team.
