Stan Collymore shares details of phone call, Nottingham Forest fans will be delighted

By Harvey Byrne

Stan Collymore has shared on Twitter that he spoke on the phone to one of the Football League’s “brightest managers” and that he would consider managing Nottingham Forest.

The 46-year-old former Forest striker has been very outspoken on the club’s current situation and the way Fawaz Al-Hasawi is running the club.

The Midlands giants are seemingly in a bad place at the moment as they sit in 19th place in the English second tier and without a manager following the dismissal of Philippe Montanier earlier in the month.

However, Collymore has revealed some positive news and stated on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday that he spoke to a highly regarded manager, who would consider the vacancy if changes happened at the club.

There has been a dark cloud over Forest for the last few months with a failed takeover, the Montanier sacking and star Henri Lansbury leaving the club alongside their place in the table.

But, fans will be delighted to hear that the famous club are still an attractive proposition for a well-regarded manager.

A number of supporters have already speculated in reply to Collymore’s Tweet with currently jobless Gary Rowett’s name coming up the most after being relieved from his position at Birmingham in December.
