The situation was simple: Celtic had to win by three goals or more against St Mirren, and hope Hearts lost to Dundee to bring the league title to Celtic Park.
The Hoops roared into a five goal lead at Love Street, but fans were preoccupied by incidents at Dens Park. All was clam before Dundee sub Albert Kidd scored two late goals, to create scenes of bedlam as the Hoops won the league title on goal difference.
Undeniably one of the most unexpected Hoops title wins of all time, and the greatest game in which they clinched the league there has ever been.
Nothing will ever top it.
