This is how long Thomas Frank has to escape Tottenham sack

Thomas Frank is under “no immediate pressure” of losing his job at Tottenham, sources have told Football Insider.

The Dane has been coming under increasing scrutiny from the fanbase after a poor run of recent results, including a drubbing at the hands of Arsenal in the North London Derby.

Tottenham were beaten 2-1 by Fulham on Saturday evening, as they suffered their fourth loss from just seven home games in the Premier League so far in 2025-26.

Recent results have caused the manager’s position to be called into question by several sections of the fanbase, but sources have now indicated that the Spurs board remain entirely behind Frank heading into the festive period.

Thomas Frank’s job at Tottenham is safe until at least the New Year

Frank hit out at Tottenham fans after their latest defeat, as he defended goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario for a crucial mistake that he made during the game, which prompted him to be booed by the supporters.

Many fans have since expected that to effectively be the final nail in the coffin for the ex-Brentford boss, but the club hierarchy view his current situation very differently.

Sources have suggested to Football Insider that Frank retains the backing of the Tottenham board, and he is set to be given until at least the New Year in order to turn their recent form around.

The board recognise the run of poor results of late, but also stand by their intention to build a long-term project with the man that they appointed over the summer.

Spurs are lining up a new striker for Frank in January

Tottenham still believe that Richarlison isn’t the answer to their striker issues, and as a result, they are lining up a new arrival for Frank in the January window.

The Brazilian is the only man to have surpassed three league goals for the North Londoners this season, and the board have been quick to recognise that additional firepower is needed at the top of the pitch.

The long-term injury to Dominic Solanke certainly hasn’t helped their cause, but it has exposed the lack of quality depth that Frank has at his disposal in the attacking areas.

With that in mind, it is highly unlikely that the hierarchy decide to pull the trigger on the Dane’s involvement at the club before he is given the necessary tools to rebuild the team.
