Rangers fans want to see Jason Cummings and Alfredo Morelos together and Windass is the obvious casualty.
Even before you take into account his inconsistent form or that celebration, he’s the one player who it would make sense to drop to play Cummings and Morelos.
Windass has also been a near ever-present so the rest might do him some good with Rangers having had a hectic few weeks after their warm-weather training camp in Florida.
He’s also likely to get pelters from the Gers fans so it might be worth keeping him out the side until the row over his celebration dies down.
