Bids incoming for summer hit: Three Rangers players who may play final game v Celtic

Alfredo Morelos

One man that has come in at Rangers and hit the ground running is Alfredo Morelos – but his time in Glasgow could be just as short-lived as Herrera’s and Alves’.

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Rangers are bracing themselves for bids for Morelos, 21, in January with English Championship side Aston Villa leading the charge.

The Light Blues do not want to let the Colombian goal machine leave Ibrox half way through the season but if the money is too good to refuse, there is every chance that Murty may lose his main source of goals.

Several clubs across Europe also have their eyes on the former HJK Helsinki star, who has proved to be one of the few hits of the summer transfer window.

Morelos has made 23 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring 11 goals in the process.

Aston Villa are short of strikers themselves and sources close to Football Insider revealed earlier this season that manager Steve Bruce is awaiting the go-ahead to launch a pursuit of Morelos.

With his usual starting spot in the Rangers team under no threat, the game at Celtic next week could well be his last in the famous blue kit.

In other Rangers news, the Light Blues are in the running to sign this proven goalscorer in January who is out of contract in months.
