Caixinha success story and no Morelos: Three Rangers players who could win POTY
James Tavernier
Tavernier has had arguably his best season since moving north from Wigan in 2015 and fully deserves to be in the running for player of the year.
The full-back recently signed a new deal to extend his stay at Ibrox until the summer of 2021 and has captained the side in the absence of Lee Wallace.
Tavernier has scored seven times and contributed nine assists this season in 38 appearances and has been one of the Gers’ most consistent performers.
A big part of Tavernier’s success can go down to his fantastic relationship with Daniel Candeias down the right-flank.
