Candeias has been one of Rangers’ most important attacking players so far this season but the arrivals of Murphy and Cummings – along with the existing competition for places – could see Candeias slide down the pecking order.
The Portuguese winger has been one of the few success stories of the Gers’ summer transfer business and it would be a bit harsh on him if he was to lose his place in the second half of the season.
The 29-year-old has scored four times, and contributed a further seven assists, in his 26 appearances for the Ibrox giants.
