Just like when David Moyes took over at Manchester United from Sir Alex Ferguson, whoever becomes the next manager at Arsenal will have to deal with the ghosts of Arsene Wenger.
You can’t just wipe away the influence of a man who managed a club for 22 years, which is what the next manager of Arsenal would have to do.
Perhaps in five years time Rodgers would consider moving to the Gunners, but replacing Wenger seems like a poisoned chalice, and a job which is best avoided for now.
