Moussa Dembele is easily Celtic’s best player and he must start every week.
The star Frenchman is head and shoulders above much of Scottish football with only a handful of his colleagues anywhere close to him ability-wise.
Rodgers’ decision not to play the in-demand striker may suggest he could be leaving the club in January and if that is the case – and Celtic are wrapping him in cotton wool then the club should be open about that.
If Dembele isn’t for the off next month then he should be playing in every game he is available.
With Aberdeen and Rangers still relatively close in the Scottish Premiership, not playing our best player is just ridiculous from an experienced manager.
