Declan John’s surging runs forward caused havoc in the Ayr defence with the left-back showing some fantastic footwork to avoid a number of challenges every time he went forward.
The Welshman has four or five runs in the opening ten minutes and continued to push Ayr’s right-back further and further back as the game went on.
When Lee Wallace returns to the fitness, moving John into a more attacking position could give the Gers a different option going forward and provide someone who isn’t shy about taking someone on.
