There’s no such thing as a hoodoo. But if there was, Tottenham fans would be forgiven for thinking they were under the spell.
Harry Kane, 24, has troubles scoring in August – he’s now gone an incredible 12 games in August without scoring.
However, he’s looked sharp. He hit the post last week and he struck the woodwork again this Sunday against Chelsea.
This time he cut inside onto his right foot and unleashed a fizzing shot that had Thibaut Courtois beaten in the Chelsea goal.
He can consider himself really unlucky that the ball struck the inside of the post and came straight back out.
At this rate he’ll get a goal for Tottenham very shortly. Maybe not in August though.
