Allen must tell 26-yr-old to find new club: Three things learned about Rangers in Aberdeen draw
Dorrans change made no sense
Graeme Dorrans limped out of the game after 32 minutes after over-stretching in a challenge – but replacing him with Sean Goss left Alfredo Morelos totally isolated in attack.
Dorrans had started the game in a more advanced role than he has usually filled and when Dorrans was replaced it never really looked clear who was supposed to fill that gap.
Goss and Ross McCrorie both lack the attacking ability to fill it anyway and Jason Holt is too lightweight to be of much use there.
Bringing Jason Cummings into the game would have been the more obvious switch and given the Gers more options in attack.
