Finalising 22-yr-old deal is no brainer: Three things learned about Rangers in win v Hearts
Candeias is so important for Rangers
The Portuguese winger done himself no favours with his tantrum at Hampden after being substitution but his performance against Hearts showed exactly why the 30-year-old is such an important player for the Gers.
Candeias set one goal up and scored the other as he helped the Gers get back to winning ways and if Portuguese ace can put in that kind of performance next weekend he could put a dampener on Celtic’s title party.
The former Benfica ace’s final ball lets him down sometimes but when he gets it right he can be absolutely devastating and his footwork to keep control of the ball in the build up to the first goal was fantastic.
Candeias has arguably been the Gers’ player of the year this season and is one of the few bright spots from Pedro Caixinha’s reign as manager.
In other Rangers news, Graeme Murty was left raving over this from last weekend’s Celtic clash.
