Tottenham backed to complete four under-the-radar signings by 12 July – expert

Tottenham could make four under-the-radar signings before all of their senior players return for pre-season training.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

On Friday (17 June) Tottenham confirmed Yves Bissouma, 25, as their latest signing.

Reports that the deal was close to being done came out of nowhere on 14 June, taking some Spurs fans by surprise.

On 23 June, Wenham told this site he “couldn’t be more pleased” by the way the transfer was handled by Fabio Paratici.

As a result, he is expecting a further four signings to arrive in a similar fashion over the next three weeks.

“It puts a lot of Italian journalists out of work if Tottenham are going to continue working under the radar,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“People are worried at the moment that things have gone a bit quiet but I’m sure there are deals going on.

“I’m sure Fabio Paratici will be working on bringing in another target rather soon.

“Conte has made it abundantly clear that he wants these signings in before the start of the club’s pre-season tour to South Korea.

“They fly on 12 of July, the non-international players are back on 4 July and the international players are back on 11 July.

“Conte will want players in by then. We have two to three weeks to get the remaining three or four signings Conte wants if Tottenham are going to challenge next year.”

Bissouma becomes the club’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.

On 10 June, this site revealed Tottenham are also in advanced talks to sign Spence, 21, from Middlesbrough.
