Tottenham could continue spending spree after Destiny Udogie medical news – expert
Paul Robinson has suggested Destiny Udogie will not be the last signing through the door at Tottenham this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said the club would not be spending money on a future prospect if it effected their first-team transfer plans.
According to Football.London‘s Alasdair Gold (15 August), Udinese left-back Udogie has undergone a medical at Hotspur Way ahead of a move to Spurs.

The Italy under-21 international is set to become the club’s seventh signing of the summer.
The plan is for Udogie to return to Udinese on loan for the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign.
When asked by Football Insider if Tottenham’s willingness to spend big money on a player for the future is surprising, Robinson said: “[Ryan] Sessegnon has surprised everyone with how he has started the season.
“He has played himself right into the manager’s thoughts.
“Tottenham have always been a forward-thinking club. They have always been on the lookout for youngsters. They sign potential for the future.
“If there was the opportunity to sign Udogie now, even if he isn’t going to be part of the first team this season, you take it. It is about the future and what is best for the club.
“If they were not able to spend in other areas I would be concerned. They seem to be able to spend wherever the manager wants though. The recruitment has been excellent.

“It is not as if they have missed out on Richarlison because they have spent £22million on a left-back who will not be part of the first team.
“If it was hampering their spending elsewhere it would be a problem. But it doesn’t seem to be.”
