Tottenham expert drops £85m Harry Kane bombshell – ‘I’ve changed my mind’

Alan Hutton now believes that Harry Kane will leave Tottenham this summer with the club becoming ‘a bit of a circus’ in recent weeks.

The former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender spoke exclusively to Football Insider about Kane’s future in North London amid links to Manchester United.

After successive Premier League losses, including a humbling 6-1 defeat to Newcastle, Tottenham have dropped out of the Champions League qualification spots.

The London giants are currently without a manager after sacking Antonio Conte in March and then dismissing interim coach Cristian Stellini earlier this week.

Despite Tottenham’s struggles, Kane is still enjoying a productive campaign in North London with 26 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions this season.

But the England captain continues to be linked with a move away from the club, and Football Insider sources revealed on Wednesday (26 April) that Man United could now sign Kane for £85million.

Hutton has changed his mind and now believes Kane will leave Tottenham this summer in pursuit of silverware.

I’ve changed my mind now – at one stage I thought he’d be staying,” Hutton told Football Insider.

We thought Tottenham had an elite manager in Antonio Conte who could change things, spend money and bring success but it didn’t quite work out that way for him.

They’re struggling at the moment, it is a little bit of a circus.

Does he want to be a part of that or does he want to move on and genuinely have a chance to win things?

Would that happen at Man United? Of course.

Tottenham

I think they’re further ahead and are in a better position moving forward with a manager with good ideas and a strong philosophy.

The big thing for him is that he’ll want to stay in England and break Alan Shearer’s record.
