Tottenham expert issues Harry Kane exit claim after source’s ‘extraordinary’ reveal – ‘it’s his last chance’

Alan Hutton has suggested the summer could be Harry Kane’s “last chance” to get a “big” move away from Tottenham.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs defender said he wants to see Kane stay at the London club and have Antonio Conte build the rest of the team around him.

On Saturday (26 November), sources told this site that the Lilywhites will have to offer the 29-year-old an “extraordinary” new contract to keep him at the club.

The striker’s current agreement expires in 2024 and the London club are keen to begin negotiations.

Conte’s contract with the club expires in the summer and Kane’s representatives are closely monitoring the Italian’s situation before deciding whether to commit to a long-term deal at Tottenham.

When asked if the forward could make a big move in the summer, Hutton told Football Insider: “It will always linger in the background.

There is no getting away from the fact that he wants to go and win things. Tottenham have not been able to.

I think he really did buy into Antonio Conte coming to the club and there was a real feeling that there was an opportunity for them this year to go and get something.

I think it all depends on their recruitment. Who they bring in, are they building for the future, does he want to be part of that. If he sees them going in the right way then I think he will stay.

He is about to turn 30, it is possibly his last chance for a big move for him. He has got lots of football left in his legs. I would like to see him stay and have Tottenham continue to build round him.
