Tottenham expert thrilled by Han Willhoft-King news – ‘one to watch’
Tottenham youth star Han Willhoft-King’s inclusion on a prestigious list of top young Premier League talents is well deserved.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Willhoft-King, 16, was named on this year’s edition of The Guardian’s prestigious Next Generation list (27 September).
The midfielder has been at Tottenham since he was six years old and made himself a mainstay in the Under-18s side at the start of the 2021-22 season.
Wenham is delighted the youngster has been given recognition after an injury-troubled few months.
“I am really pleased because he could have easily missed out after being injured for such a long time,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It could have been an easy name for David Hytner, who writes these, to not include because I don’t know how much of Willhoft-King he will have seen.
“Luckily, he played in the FA Youth Cup while he was still a schoolboy last season. He is a big, imposing midfield player, plays for England at youth level.
“I really like him and I look forward to him having an injury-free year with lots of appearances for the Under-18s and maybe even getting into the under-21 side as well that would be brilliant for him.
“He is definitely one to watch.”

On 17 November, this site revealed Tottenham had offered a two-year scholarship contract to Willhoft-King.
This came after he put Arsenal to the sword with two goals in Spurs Under-17s’ 9-0 thrashing of their rivals on 29 September.
