Tottenham fans: Ange Postecoglou ‘will be sacked tonight’ after ‘humiliation’

Tottenham fans are insisting Ange Postecoglou will be sacked imminently after their Premier League defeat against Everton at Goodison Park.

Postecoglou’s side were beaten 3-2 after first-half goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Illiman Ndiaye, as well as an own-goal from Archie Gray, sent the hosts into half-time 3-0 up.

The second half saw Spurs pull two goals back thanks to Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison, but it was too little too late.

Tottenham have now dropped to 15th in the Premier League table, just two points above Everton and as far away from the relegation zone as they are from the top half.

With just seven wins, three draws and 12 defeats from 22 league games, pressure on Postecoglou’s position has become overwhelming amongst Spurs fans.

Meanwhile, they are winless in their last six games in the league, while wins against Tamworth in the FA Cup and Liverpool in the Carabao Cup have provided the only respite.

There has been an acceptance that injuries have left the boss in a difficult position, but recent results have now been deemed “unacceptable” by the supporters.

Tottenham fans demand Ange Postecoglou is sacked after what they saw v Everton

After a North London Derby defeat to Arsenal in midweek, reports claimed that the boss retains the backing of the board, and chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to pull the trigger.

However, a humiliating defeat away from home against an Everton side who had scored just one goal in six league games prior, may now have changed that attitude.

Taking to social media during the game, the travelling Spurs supporters have called for the manager’s head and labelled the defeat “embarrassing” and “a disgrace”.
