Tottenham fans have turned to social media to react to the news that Danny Rose had been included in the match day squad for the club’s clash against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

The Lilywhites revealed their starting XI against Los Blancos via their official Twitter account, with Mauricio Pochettino having made three changes to his side which faced Bournemouth on Saturday.

Spurs fans saw Fernando Llorente, Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier all come into the side, with Dele Alli, Heung-min Son and Kieran Trippier all dropping either onto the bench or out of the side completely.

However there was one man that, although he was not starting, fans were delighted to see, with Danny Rose named among the 18 match day players for the first time in nine months.

Having suffered a serious injury back in January, the England left back has been out of action, but has finally returned to see himself named on the substitute’s bench against Real Madrid.

Fans took to Twitter to voice their relief at seeing the 27-year-old return, with some expecting an immediate impact.
