Tottenham fans should be ‘scared’ by Conte ‘hissy fit’ after source’s transfer reveal – pundit
Alex McLeish has suggested Tottenham fans should be “scared” Antonio Conte is not getting the backing of the board ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted it is not a good sign the Italian boss has been so “vociferous” about his desire for new signings.
A Spurs source told Football Insider Monday (24 January) that Conte is putting “huge pressure” on Levy to complete four new signings in the final days of the window.

The Italian manager has been very vocal about his desire for new additions this month.
He has publicly stated Spurs need signings and revealed “honest” talks with the board about their transfer plans.
However, McLeish questioned whether Daniel Levy is giving Conte what he wants.
“What would probably scare me and Spurs fans is Conte is throwing a bit of a hissy fit about this,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“There’s a warning sign there. It seems he’s not getting any money, if he’s that kind of vociferous about it.
“You would think things were on the cards, he would zip it and say nothing. Time will tell in the end.
“We had this conversation last year about Nuno. I was not sure he would be given the money he was at Wolves.
“That seems to be coming to the fore, that Conte’s going to have to make do with what he’s got. Daniel’s not spent money for a wee while now.
“Maybe now is the time if you’re want to get Spurs into Europe and into the top for again.”

Tottenham have not made a single new signing this month.
However, Adama Traore’s capture is virtually complete after Tottenham had a worth £22.75million accepted by Wolves last Friday (21 January).
