Tottenham have Yves Bissouma ‘problem’ after development pre-Leeds United – Robinson
Paul Robinson has claimed Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has “a problem” following Yves Bissouma’s impressive display against Liverpool.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-White Hart Lane number one said Spurs can no longer play with three centre-midfielders even though Bissouma, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur have impressed of late.
Tottenham slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday (6 November).
Antonio Conte once again adopted a 3-5-2 formation, with Bissouma, Hojbjerg and Bentancur across the midfield.
Bissouma was one of the Lilywhites’ standout players, boasting 91 per cent pass completion, two tackles, one interception and one clearance. [WhoScored]
Dejan Kulusevski made his long-awaited return from injury in the defeat.
Robinson believes a midfielder will make way for Kulusevski in Tottenham’s next Premier League match against Leeds United.
“Bissouma was very good at the weekend which poses a problem for Conte,” he told Football Insider.
“It has not worked having three of them in the midfield. It is far too defensive. There is not enough creativity.
“Kulusevski changed the game when he came on. You presume he will start against Leeds if he is fit.

“Who does Conte drop from that midfield? You would think Bissouma but he has done extremely well of late. He was one of the best players against Liverpool. But, Bentancur and Hojbjerg have been so consistent.
“Either way, Conte has to drop one of them because it has not been working as a three.”
