Tottenham news: Pundit makes ‘incredible’ Kulusevski claim – ‘it’s really quite scary’

Noel Whelan has hailed the “incredible” link-up at Tottenham between Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane, and Son Heung-min.

The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, compared the 28-year-old England captain to legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady due to his impressive range of passing.

Kane grabbed three assists as Tottenham defeated fellow top-four challengers West Ham 3-1 on Sunday (20 March).

The striker, who claimed the Premier League’s Golden Boot and Playmaker of the Season awards last term, has now notched 22 goals and six assists this season.

Whelan branded Tottenham’s attack “scary” and insisted Kane is now playing with “real confidence” after a muted start to his campaign.

He told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “He’s the Tom Brady of English football, isn’t he?

“He’s getting himself into some great areas and it looks like he’s playing with real confidence at the moment.

“All the troubles and speculation we saw at the beginning of the season has completely washed away.

“The link-up between those three now is incredible – Kulusevski, Kane, and Son.

“When they’re at their best, it’s really quite scary. The amount of goals and opportunities they set up for one another is amazing.

“When you’ve got them firing, Tottenham have every chance of winning every game they go into.”

Son and Kane have now combined for 38 Premier League goals – a top-flight record.

Tottenham moved to within three points of fourth-place Arsenal with the win.
