Tottenham player ratings v Barnsley: Youngster fails to live up to hype
Georges-Kevin N’Koudou – 7
Replaced Fernando Llorente with 25 minutes left to play and brought a bit of energy to a Spurs side lacking in creativity. Was always looking to receive the ball from his team mates, in what was a positive performance. Expect Pochettino to utilise the French winger more often in the future.
Eric Dier – 6
The midfield enforcer was brought on for the final ten minutes as Spurs looked to secure victory. Did what was needed of him without being too much of an influential figure in proceedings.
Tashan Oakley-Boothe – N/A
The 17-year-old was brought on in added time for his debut but as fans would expect, had no impact on the game whatsoever. However, his experience of being in and around the first team squad will be of great benefit, as Pochettino continues to show faith in the youngsters at the club.
In other Tottenham news, this attacker has revealed why he snubbed the Magpies’ transfer pursuits over the summer.
