Tottenham player ratings v Barnsley: Youngster fails to live up to hype

A debut for the former Estudiantes man after his arrival over the summer, the 19-year-old was partnered alongside Jan Vertonghen and the youngster will be glad he was.
There was much hype made by the fans over the youngster before kick off, but for those who managed to see him play, they might be hoping to see an improvement next time around.
He evidently needed the Belgian’s experience beside him as he looked uncertain at times in the heart of the defence, but he will have been happy to ensure that Spurs kept a clean sheet on his first outing.
