Tottenham tipped to strike Traore agreement after £20m talks update today – pundit
Alex McLeish has suggested Tottenham could snap up a bargain by signing Adama Traore from Wolves for £25million this month.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the seven-figure price tag is “nothing” for a proven Premier League performer.
A Spurs source has told Football Insider today the club are haggling with Wolves over the cost of the Traore deal and do not want to pay more than £20million.

The report claims Tottenham initially enquired about signing the winger on loan.
However, the north Londoners reportedly believe a cut-price transfer deal can be struck due to Traore’s contract situation.
The Spain international’s current deal runs until 2023.
McLeish suggested Spurs should just stump up the money Wolves are asking for.
“I think that’s (£25million) nothing in the Premier League,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“They’d be getting him, probably, at the best time. He is probably at the peak.
“Maybe the extra demands of a higher team will improve him even more.
“I mean he’s already been at one of the top clubs in the world in Barcelona. It didn’t quite work for him there.
“He could be the spark that Spurs need.”
Traore has struggled to deliver consistently during his time in the Premier League.
He has scored eight times and contributed 16 assists in 159 top-flight appearances to date.
The winger netted his first goal of the campaign in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Southampton.

He is still on the same contract from when he joined the club back in 2018.
Traore has also had spells at Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Barcelona.
