Tottenham to challenge for title after £310m reveal – pundit
Tottenham could challenge Man City and Liverpool next season after an expert claimed the club could spend upwards of £300million this summer.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the club’s summer plans.
On 30 May, club insider John Wenham told this site that Spurs could spend up to £130million this summer.

This figure was attributed to the £150million invested into the club on 25 May, around £100million in player sales and £60million in Champions League prize money.
Kenny claims Spurs could reach the level of Man City and Liverpool during the 2022-23 season if they spend anywhere near that £310million figure.
“I’m sure if they spend that kind of money they will be looking to go even higher than third,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“That’s ridiculous, it’s a ridiculous amount of money. With the players they have, Son and Kane, they have some quality players.
“Then you spend money like that, you have to be looking even higher.
“You have to be trying to finish in the top two. We had a feeling that Conte would have money if he stayed, it’s one to keep an eye on.”

Tottenham finished fourth in the 2021-22 Premier League.
They will return to next season’s Champions League after playing in the Europa Conference League during the recently-concluded campaign.
In other news, a source has revealed Tottenham have told a midfielder to find a new club as asking price is revealed.
