Tottenham to follow Dominic Solanke deal by signing Jonathan David?

Tottenham have placed Jonathan David on their transfer target list amid doubts over Richarlison’s future, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the Lille forward is a target for several Premier League clubs including Spurs.

Due to his contract situation, the 24-year-old striker is seen as one of the best options in the market currently.

David is entering the final 12 months of his Lille contract, which means potential suitors might be able to land him at a reduced price.

Sources claim that David is available for £25million in this window, which is why many teams are considering him as an option.

Tottenham have completed the signing of Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth but Richarlison could leave before the window shuts.

Tottenham have Jonathan David as a standby option

The player’s public stance is he wants to stay in the Premier League but Football Insider revealed that the Londoners outfit are still planning to accept a big-money offer for the Brazil international as the Saudi Pro League monitors him.

Tottenham’s focus in this transfer window has been on signing a striker to properly replace Harry Kane, who left the club last summer.

Football Insider revealed that Spurs were in advanced talks with Bournemouth over a deal to buy Solanke, their number one target this month.

That deal is done but it is not the end of summer business at the north London club, with multiple ins and outs expected over the next three weeks.
