Unlucky Brendan, you’re nowhere near No 1 in five greatest ever Celtic managers
1. JOCK STEIN
What more can be said about this legendary figure of the game? Took over the Hoops in 1965, and won the club’s first trophy in seven years, then followed unparalleled glory.
The European Cup triumph, nine titles in a row, two trebles and a host of accolades were gathered by Stein in his time as Hoops boss, which saw him win an incredible total of 25 major honours with the club.
Showed incredible character to battle back from a life-threatening car crash to lead the Hoops to a league and cup double in 1977 which became a last hurrah as he left a year later.
Still the man to measure all Hoops bosses by, but none will ever be as successful as he was.
