Van de Ven and Ibrahima Konate respond to Van Dijk’s ‘big’ Liverpool message

Virgil van Dijk was instrumental in Liverpool’s title victory and he dropped a message to the fans as the Premier League season comes to an end.

Van Dijk lifted the Premier League trophy in front of the Liverpool supporters last weekend, marking the first time he’s done so with fans in attendance. Celebrations have continued throughout the week as the players reflect on a dominant campaign under Arne Slot.

Slot ended his debut season in England with a commanding 10-point lead at the top of the table, rounding off a hugely successful first year after taking over from Jurgen Klopp.

At the heart of that success was Van Dijk, who marshalled the league’s most resolute defence, with Liverpool keeping a league-high 14 clean sheets.

Amid earlier speculation over his future, Van Dijk put pen to paper on a new contract for Liverpool last month, reaffirming his commitment to the club and dismissing any lingering doubts.

Reflecting on the historic season, the Dutch defender shared a heartfelt message on social media, looking back on what has been a memorable campaign.

Liverpool stars and Premier League rivals react to Van Dijk after title win

Liverpool captain van Dijk shared a celebratory reel on Instagram, posting pictures of himself lifting the Premier League trophy with the caption: “Dream big, work hard!”

Plenty of his teammates responded, including defensive partner Ibrahima Konate, Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch, all replying with heart emojis.

Elsewhere across the Premier League, players such as Tottenham’s Micky van de Ven and Newcastle’s Sven Botman also reacted by liking the post.

Van Dijk has had a standout season, making 49 appearances in all competitions and racked up more than 4,400 minutes. The campaign also marked a personal milestone, as Van Dijk surpassed 300 Premier League appearances, further cementing his legacy as one of the division’s greatest centre-backs.

While the Reds reflect on a memorable title-winning season and drawing level with Manchester United on 20 league titles, they’re already laying the groundwork for their next chapter.

Football Insider revealed Liverpool could now reignite their interest in Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon following the impending move for Florian Wirtz.

The hierarchy remain committed to backing head coach Slot, and with Luis Diaz linked with a possible exit, Gordon is viewed as a fitting replacement to maintain the club’s attacking edge.
