View: Christiansen must start three Leeds outcasts v Port Vale, including 28-year-old leader

Captain Bridcutt, 28, was one of Leeds’ most senior men both on and off the pitch last season, as he marshalled the defence during the Whites’ hunt for a play-off place.
However, with a year left on his current deal, the former Sunderland and Brighton midfielder was also left out of the 18-man squad to play against Bolton.
Bridcutt deserves the chance to reignite the form he showed in the first half of the 2016-17 season by starting against Port Vale and proving he can offer the Whites something this season.
