Rafa Benitez has a huge selection dilemma on his plate at Newcastle ahead of the Toon’s Premier League opener against Tottenham on August 13.

DeAndre Yedlin has suffered a hamstring injury and the 24-year-old will miss the clash against Tottenham, with Benitez informing the Shields Gazzette that he will be out for three weeks.

The USA international suffered the injury in a pre-season friendly against Bundesliga side Mainz, leaving Benitez with a decision to make on how to line-up in defence.

Following the loss of Vurnon Anita, right-back could be a problem for Benitez despite completing the signing of Javier Manquillo, who was likely to be used as a replacement for Paul Dummett.
