Three ways Newcastle can line-up v Tottenham after defender ruled out

3-4-2-1: French connection

Massadio Haidara, 24, would be given a chance to resurrect his Newcastle career on the left flank if Benitez opted to copy Spurs’ system of 3-4-2-1.

The Toon would need a left-back that has pace and is willing to get forward, and that would see Dummett forced to surrender his position for Frenchman Haidara who has played three times since January.

In a similar formation to the five-man defence, Manquillo would be required to get forward more and challenge Spurs’ left-back Danny Rose.

In other Newcastle news, this Championship hitman would push the Toon to Premier League survival next season.
